Chelsea have been told to their face that they can no longer have Declan Rice after the player made it known that he will commit his future to West Ham United.
Rice has been subject of speculations to various clubs with the West London side already standing as a major contender but it is now clear that he would be penning his signature with the East London club.
The 19-year old earns about £3000-a-week as a youth player and he was offered an increase to £15,000 to have him extend his stay at the club further than the 2021 in his deal.
The disagreement in his wages ensured that he is linked with other clubs as Rice is believed to be asking for more.
Clubs including Chelsea made use of the negotiation period to tempt the player away.
However, reports claim that Rice has been offered a deal of £20,000 a-week which includes other clauses that attract financial gains for him. It is now almost certain that he will remain at the club until further notice.
Following the agreement, Rice noted that he has his heart with the East London club and will remain there.
Meanwhile, the player’s impressive performance has ensured a battle between England and Ireland over Rice’s international allegiance.
