Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet seems to have made up his mind about leaving the Anfield with reports that he is ready for a showdown with manager Jurgen Klopp in order to have a January move.
Efforts by the Belgian goalkeeper to leave the club in the summer as a result of the coming of first choice Alisson Becker failed with German manager promising him of being in the plans for the season and that has not happened according to the feelings by the goalkeeper.
Mignolet is obviously not okay with his position at the club and he has been encouraged by the interest coming from Patrick Vieira’s Nice as reported by Dutch newspaper Het Belang van Limburg.
The former Arsenal player wants the Liverpool goalkeeper in France and Mignolet is not ready to hear a no from the former Borussia Dortmund manager on this offer.
There are indications that Jurgen Klopp will again stop the keeper from a move as the club will be lacking in a cover for Alisson Becker in case of injury situations and loss of form.
Klopp had described Mignolet as a professional but will wish the issue is well handled by the Belgian goalkeeper as an understanding is needed at the moment.
