Belgian attacker Cyril Ngonge has been on the radar of Liverpool for a move to the Anfield. It has now been confirmed by Mirror’s Chief Football Writer John Cross.

The report is being taken seriously because it is a known fact that Cross hardly writes on the Reds with Dave Maddock left with that responsibility.

Meanwhile, Cross has a bad news for the Reds fans as he claims that the club is not alone in the interest for the player with North London side Arsenal also having a keen interest as well

It is not pleasant also to hear from Cross that the Merseyside club are not at advantaged in the race for
Ngonge as he affirms that they will have to go head to head for the striker.

Ngonge, who’s been lighting up the UEFA Youth League for Club Brugge has not gone unnoticed having scored four goals so far and has impressed virtually all scouts that have come his way.

The 18-year-old has got the basic qualities of a striker with his pace and his ability to dribble his way to the net.

The left foot player will only grow to become a better player with suggestions that he is already ripe to fit into first football for any club in Europe

This is coming at the right time for the Reds who are not having it good with their attackers at the moment.

It remains a surprise that Liverpool were stopped by Red Star Belgrade from scoring a single goal in the last Champions League game which saw the Anfield side get an embarrassing 2-0 defeat.
