Van Dijk to have new partner at Liverpool defence

Recent results coming from the Anfield attest to the fact that all is not well with the Liverpool defence despite the solid attack they have got.

The Reds were close to sealing all 3 points at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal but the Reds defence could not enforce that as Alexandre Lacazette found his way through to find the back of the net to level the game.

However, RB Leipzig wonderkid, Nordi Mukiele has been identified as the player that should partner former Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk so as to seal a perfect defence for the Merseyside team.

The 21-year-old grew to become a wonder for Montpellier last season with 33 appearances to his name before his switch to Leipzig with a fee of £14 million in the summer.

The talented young defender has since settled in his new side to attract interest from accords Europe with Liverpool believed to be a leading suitor of the player.

In his eight appearances this season in the German Bundesliga, Mukiele has won an average of two tackles per game and 1.3 interceptions in all games to make him one of the best in the league.

It has been speculated that he would form a great partnership with solid Van Dijk in the Reds defence should the Merseyside team take a bid for him seriously.
