Three-time European champions Manchester United have reportedly been linked with a move for highly rated Inter Milan centre back Milan Skriniar ahead of the January transfer window.
According to the report from the Daily Express, the Slovakian international defender has emerged as a transfer target for the Red Devils.
Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalleti was asked questions about the long-term future of the 23-year-old at the club.
The Italian tactician jokingly said that it could take around €100m for the transfer of the player before mentioning that Barcelona and Real Madrid should pay €120m and €140m respectively.
Apart from Manchester United, the Spanish La Liga duo of Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Skriniar.
One of the priorities of Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window in January is to get a new centre back.
Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho didn’t get his wish of a new centre back in the summer.
Players like Diego Godin (Atletico Madrid and Uruguay), Harry Maguire (Leicester City), Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham Hotspur and Belgium) and Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich and Germany) were all linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer’s transfer window but nothing came out of the links.
