Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool will risk the sum of £135m to have French striker Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona in a bid to equip their attack.

The said amount remains a risk for the Reds to pay knowing that the player is about to be disposed of by the Spanish giants because he has failed to impress in the team.

Dembele was believed to be a future player for the Catalan side but that has not been achievable and he could be sent parking so as to ease the club of the financial demands on the player.

It would be recalled that Barcelona made it clear of their intention to have the player sold by calling on clubs to come for talks.

With Jurgen Klopp believed to be a big fan of the French international, he is reported to be leading in the race for Dembele and would not be deterred by the huge price tag on him.

Dembele could end up being a relief to Liverpool who are currently not in good form having lost 2-0 to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League encounter.

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino could not save the Reds from an embarrassing defeat against another Red team.
