Liverpool FC are not ready to give up in their pursuit for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Reports from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by the Sun, is reporting that the Reds are leading the race to sign the France international at the end of the season.

However, the Reds are faced with competition from FC Barcelona but are keen to beat all competition to have the player.

It is also revealed that the Anfield side will wait for his contract to expire at PSG in order to have him for free.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have prepared a “powerful” package for Rabiot in an attempt to win what promises to be a competitive race to sign the French star.

The long list of suitors for the PSG youth graduate includes La Liga leaders FC Barcelona, defending Premier League champions Manchester City, Serie A title holders Juventus and AC Milan, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The stance of the French team on Rabiot is therefore unknown as they might be interested in keeping him beyond his current contract.

Also, PSG will have to do more in convincing the player to remain at the club with suggestions that he is unhappy and bent on leaving the team.

Liverpool have got to strengthen their squad if their wish to win a title this season must be actualized.

The Reds suffered a disappointing 2 – 0 defeat to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League clash which may force some players out of the club.
