Liverpool’s clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium during the weekend has raised lots of feelings of regret, especially from the Anfield team as they wish it was a win for them.
The major point of argument has been the cancelled goal scored by Sadio Mane in the game but in addition, manager Jurgen Klopp said he wished his side had done better as they would have been able to secure a win away from home.
Also, the aftermath of the game was full of lamentation by defender Virgil van Dijk who told the German manager after the game that he would have scored a hat trick if he had not missed the goals in the game.
However, Liverpool hero Steve Nicol says the lamentation and regret by his former side is unnecessary as they would have been defeated in the game because the home team looked more likely to score a winner.
According to Nicol, both teams got a similar amount of chances in the game but noted that Arsenal should be more disappointed because they played better in the game.
He noted that he was not convinced about the North London side until he saw their game against Liverpool.
