There are indication that Spanish giants Barcelona are unhappy about the latest deal they had with Liverpool over Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho
The football playmaker was in hot form for the Reds and interested several clubs which the Spanish giants rushed have.
Having paid a record £142million fee to make Coutinho the world’s third most expensive footballer, he has scored only five goals and produced three assists this season.
Reports according to Marca have claimed that the Brazilian has lived far below the high expectations set for him by La Liga giants and has not been able to match his performance with the investments on him.
However, suggestions are that there is a subtle regret from the club who never anticipated this level of performance by the player, placing it side by side the money invested on him.
Meanwhile, the investment on Coutinho has been used by the Reds for the purchase of players, most importantly, Virgil van Dijk who has now become a transformed player at the Anfield.
There is no doubt that the Merseyside club have got reasons to smile while it is the opposite for the Spanish giants with last season’s Champions League runner up having to gain more from the deal.
