Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is obviously delighted with England international James Milner and has advocated for a national team call up for the midfielder.

Milner was on the scoresheet for the Merseyside club during the weekend clash against Arsenal in the Premier League encounter but his goal was cancelled by Alexandre Lacazette who scored the last minutes goal.

That did not stop Klopp from hailing the player for the point that was earned knowing that the goal scored by Sadio Mane was well disqualified by the referee on an offside call.

The German manager, therefore, stated that there is a need for someone to write a new story for the 32-year-old who retired from national football about 2 years ago.

Klopp added that the story must include the return of Milner to the national team as he called on Gareth Southgate to return the experienced player because he deserves it.

He noted that Milner displayed a leadership in the team spirit by first identifying the fact that the team did not play well in the first half, which he went ahead to score a goal.

Klopp argued that the 32-year-old is a proper leader who is needed in the national team again.
