Premier League giants Manchester United have been handed a massive boost ahead of their all-important Champions League clash with Italian champions Juventus at the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday night following the news that the Old Lady could be without three players.
According to the latest injury news from the Italians, the trio of Mario Mandzukic, Diego Costa and Blaise Matuidi are struggling to be fit for the Group H duel in the Champions League later in the week.
Croatian World Cup star Mario Mandzukic has continued his good form for Juventus after his summer heroics of helping his beloved Croatia reach the final of this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia before they were beaten 4-2 by eventual winners France.
His Juventus growth has recently been disturbed by an ankle problem and is set to miss out of the huge clash with Manchester United as a result of the injury.
Mandzukic had earlier missed the return leg between the two European heavyweights at Old Trafford two weeks ago.
Brazilian international winger Douglas Costa has a muscle problem in his left adductor and he’s a big doubt for Wednesday night’s game.
France World Cup winner Blaise Matuidi could also miss the game with a bruised right hip.
