Ex-Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has named his favourite teammate as he prepares to face his former club in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Juventus superstar is expected to play a big part for the Old Lady when they welcome Manchester United to the Juventus Stadium in Turin for a Group H duel in Europe’s premier cup competition.

Ahead of the game, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was asked about his favourite teammate in an interview with Goalhanger films via the Daily Mirror.

The Portuguese national team captain confirmed that Wayne Rooney was his favourite and that he would love to play with him again.

He also praised the retired England international forward for his power and mentality.

Ronaldo and his Juventus teammates had earlier beaten Manchester United in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford on Matchday 3 and the Red Devils would be hoping to return the favour in their Matchday 4 clash later in the week.

Paolo Dybala was the hero as he scored the only goal of the game to give the Italian champions a 1-0 win over Manchester United off an assist from Ronaldo.

Juventus would start as overwhelming favourites but they will face a rejuvenated Manchester United side that has won three of the last four league games.
