Arsenal legendary goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has stated that the true worth and impact of new midfielder Lucas Torreira will be known against Liverpool when they both clash on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.
The Uruguay international joined the Emirates Stadium after his impressive performance at the World Cup from Sampdoria with a fee of £26.4 million and has since become a major part of the team.
Torreira has made an impact in the Arsenal team and has been praised by pundits to have brought a level of stability and cover to the North London defence.
Lehmann praised the former Sampdoria midfielder for his impact in the team since his arrival but stated that the Liverpool clash would be seen as the real test to ascertain if he is the deal or not.
Steel in the Arsenal middle has been missing since the departure of Patrick Vieira and Gilberto Silva and it is now believed to have returned since Torreira joined the club.
He has therefore been charged to prove he is the solution in a game as competitive as Liverpool.
Arsenal will hope to continue their unbeaten run with 13 games already concluded after their winning run was ended by Crystal Palace in the last Premier League game.
