Ex-Arsenal Defender Slams Club Over Ramsey Contract Saga

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has blasted the club over their role in the Ramsey contract saga.
Keown, who’s now a football pundit, argued that the North London giants could have handled the contractual situation of Aaron Ramsey better.
He further questioned why the Arsenal hierarchy won’t take the easier route of signing the Welsh international star to a new contract rather than spend money to replace him.
Martin Keown ripped into the Arsenal hierarchy on popular English media outlet Daily Mail via the Daily Star.
Former Cardiff City star Aaron Ramsey is on the way out of Arsenal following the club’s decision to withdraw the contract offer to him.
The Gunners hierarchy had already offered him a contract which he was ready to sign according to the player.
Arsenal then withdrew their contract offer last month to the surprise of the Welsh midfielder.
Since the news of the contract withdrawal broke, Aaron Ramsey has been linked with several clubs.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a free transfer move to the Italian Serie A duo of AC Milan and Juventus.
Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United have also been touted as a possible transfer destination for the player.
