Former Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas has not been a regular at the club owing to the many options for Maurizio Sarri in the midfield, a development that has linked him away from Chelsea.
The Blues star has not seen enough games especially with no minute in the Premier League and he is obviously considering a move but has hinted that he could remain if sure of more playing time.
The Spanish international has done a lot to have to prove he can still make a mark at the Stamford Bridge which includes helping his side see off Derby County with a goal in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
With his contract due to expire at the end of this season, there are indications that the West London side will only be willing to keep him if he is ready to receive a pay cut due to his rating in the current team.
Fabregas earns one of the highest in the Stamford Bridge with a deal of about £160,000 a week which makes it too much especially as he has not played any game in the Premier League.
However, Chelsea will now face Bournemouth at home in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals having eliminated Derby County.
