Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta is on the verge of returning back to Torino from where he joined Chelsea some years back.
Zappacosta joined the blues in August 2017 with a fee of £23 million where he was an important part of the Chelsea team under former manager Antonio Conte.
This has since changed for the defensive player who is now having it difficult under new manager Maurizio Sarri as he has seen only six minutes of football in the Premier League this season.
There is no doubt that he will make use of the January transfer window to clear himself off the frustration with his former side willing to have him as they are reported to have initiated moves.
The Italian international stated that he wants to remain in the scene so as to be called for the national team hinting that anything short of that will ensure a change of mind for him.
The West London club have got a number of options in the defence as they look to offset some so as to ensure a more compact team.
The Blues are currently unbeaten in all competitions so far this season and they are third in the Premier League table.
