Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is on his way out of the club after senior officials told him the reason why their contract offer was withdrawn.
The former Cardiff City star reportedly met with Arsenal director Raul Sanllehi to discuss his future with the North London giants.
According to a report from the Daily Mirror via Metro, the 27-year-old was told that he does not figure in the new direction that the club wants to take.
Aaron Ramsey had hoped that he could still sign a new contract with the Gunners despite the decision to withdraw their offer in September but that’s a long way off now following his meeting with the Arsenal hierarchy.
The ex-Wales captain has less than a year on his current Arsenal deal and he’s free to talk to foreign clubs about a potential free transfer move in the New Year.
He has been repeatedly linked with European giants like Italian champions Juventus, seven-time European champions AC Milan, the English duo of Manchester United and Liverpool.
Aaron Ramsey has been an integral part of the Arsenal team for over a decade since his move from newly promoted Premier League club Cardiff City in the summer of 2008 for £4.8m.
