Juventus Interested In Free Transfer Move For Man United Playmaker – Not Pogba
Italian Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly interested in a free transfer move for Manchester United playmaker Juan Manuel Mata.
According to the report from popular English news outlet Evening Standard, the Italian giants are ready to open free transfer talks with the 30-year-old in the New Year.
Juventus want to open free transfer negotiations with the Spanish international midfielder when the transfer window reopens in January.
Juan Manuel Mata has less than a year left on his current Manchester United contract meaning that he can start to speak with other clubs as from the 1st of January.
The report from the Evening Standard also pointed out that the interest from the Old Lady is putting pressure on Manchester United to offer the Spaniard new contract terms.
Apart from Juventus, Juan Manuel Mata has also been linked with a free transfer move to top four rivals Arsenal.
Mata and new Gunners manager Unai Emery worked together at Spanish La Liga side Valencia for three years.
The Spaniard played for Los Che under Unai Emery between 2008 and 2011 before he sealed a big money move to the Premier League with former Champions League winners Chelsea in 2012.
He won the Champions League title in his first season with the Blues.
