There is every indication that the desire to have Chelsea star Eden Hazard move to Real Madrid is as good as dead following the speculations that Antonio Conte would be joining the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid are desperately in need of a new manager following their 5-1 embarrassing defeat they suffered in the hands of their rival, Barcelona on Sunday.

Manager Julen Lopetegui is reported to be near the exit door with Madrid President expected to make a pronouncement in some hours on the future of the Spanish boss.

However, Madrid are reported to have held talks with the former Chelsea boss as a replacement and it has been revealed that the Italian boss has begun strategising on his new job.

This development is expected to halt the pursuit of Belgium international Eden Hazard according to feelers as he is known to have had a strained relationship with Conte when they both worked together at the Stamford Bridge last season.

The Belgium star is believed to be reluctant in having a reunion with his former boss at the Bernabeu knowing that he is having it good at the moment under manager Maurizio Sarri.

Hazard has flourished under the attack-minded style of Sarri and will not be willing to return to an isolated pattern by Conte which will not favour him.
