Premier League giants Manchester United will reportedly back manager Jose Mourinho when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
According to the report from popular English news outlet The Guardian, the Red Devils hierarchy are ready to resurrect the team’s ailing season by splashing around £100m on new transfers.
The club is ready to back manager Jose Mourinho in the transfer window in January in the bid to turn the fortunes of the club around.
Mourinho targeted a centre back during this summer’s transfer window and the search is expected to continue into the next transfer window.
The Portuguese tactician will also attempt to sign a new striker according to the report.
Manchester United have endured a frustrating Premier League campaign in the new season.
The Red Devils lost three of their opening seven league games.
Mourinho seems to have turned the corner following a run of two wins and a draw from the last three games in the Premier League.
Manchester United have collected seven points from those three games after Sunday evening’s 2-1 victory over Everton at Old Trafford.
The French duo of Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba were on target for the Red Devils, while Gylfi Sigurdsson got the only goal for the visitors.
