Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is a huge doubt for the Gunners ahead of their all-important Premier League meeting with Liverpool on Saturday.
The Spanish international defender is a doubt for the home game against the league leaders after he picked up a muscular injury in the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Bellerin picked up the injury in the first half and was subsequently replaced by summer signing Stephan Lichtsteiner at the start of the second half.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery confirmed his injury status during his post-match press conference and that he doesn’t know whether the Barcelona Academy graduate will be fit for the game at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal currently trail Liverpool by four points after the London Derby draw with Crystal Palace and a win in Saturday’s game will move the Gunners within one point of their opponents.
The North London giants missed out on the opportunity to close the gap on Liverpool to two points via the late penalty from Luka Milivojevic.
The Serbian scored the equaliser from the spot in the 83rd minute after Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang had overturned a 45th minute penalty from Milivojevic.
The draw also ended the Gunners’ eleven-game winning run.
