New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has provided the latest update on the contractual situation of midfielder Aaron Ramsey at the club.
The Spaniard talked about Ramsey in an exclusive interview with popular English TV channel Sky Sports as he called on the Welsh international star to focus on his performance rather than a new deal.
The former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Sevilla boss also revealed that Aaron Ramsey can sit down with the club to talk about his long-term future in North London.
Unai Emery spoke on the back of statements credited to the former Cardiff City star.
Ramsey had earlier revealed that the North London giants didn’t give him the reason behind their contract offer withdrawal.
Arsenal withdrew their offer to the 27-year-old in September following months of contract talks between the North London side and his representatives.
The contract offer withdrawal prompted talks that he’s on his way out of the Emirates Stadium with less than a year on his current deal at the club.
He’s free to talk to clubs outside England about a potential free transfer in the summer as from the New Year.
The Welsh midfielder has already been linked with other European heavyweights such as AC Milan, Manchester United, Liverpool etc.
