Sarri tells players what to avoid when they play Liverpool, City

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has warned his players that they must avoid certain things in games against big clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City or risk being defeated.

Sarri noted that his players had switched off in their Thursday’s Europa League game against BATE Borisov but were lucky to still come out with a win. A hat-trick from Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the game ensured a convincing win for the West London club.

He made it clear that they could be punished if they repeat such mistake again as he urged for more concentration from the defence.

The Italian manager is obviously unsatisfied with his side’s performance especially the defence line and has thrown his weight behind his strikers who are currently under firing.

He stated that Olivier Giroud might not score for his side but he has been able to create his importance on the pitch by mounting the pressure on the defence and making out the way for others to score.

The former Napoli boss is confident that the goals will come knowing that he has been helped by his midfielders, Ross Barkley and Loftus-Cheek who have scored in the last three games.

Star player Eden Hazard is also being missed as he is currently on the sideline owing to injury.
