Liverpool fans have been handed good news that would boost their confidence in the team as the club seeks to reward one of the players with a befitting new deal.
According to a journalist, Paul Joyce, the Red Devils have agreed to hand Joe Gomez a new deal as discussions are already on to have him extend his stay at the Anfield.
The 21-year old defender has enjoyed good pairing with Virgil van Dijk to create the stability and steel the Liverpool side have enjoyed so far this season.
Gomez still has some years left to his current contract at the club but manager Jurgen Klopp feels the player deserves more than he is currently being offered.
Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp are yet to win any title in three years, a development the manager seeks to put to an end this season.
The Reds came close to two titles last season by getting to the Champions League finals as well as finishing second in the Premier League but that did not earn them a medal.
The Anfield side have opened this season with a good start and have enjoyed an unbeaten run this season as they sit second in the table.
