Liverpool forward Sadio Mane could be the solution to the attacking problems after Togo national team boss Claude Le Roy recommended the 26-year-old to the Red Devils.
According to him via the Manchester Evening News (MEN), the Senegalese international star has the quality to thrive at clubs like Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
His statement won’t be music to the ears of Liverpool fans who have adored the former RB Salzburg man since he joined the club from Southampton in the summer of 2016.
Since his move from the Saints, Sadio Mane has formed a potent trident strike force alongside Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah and Brazilian star Roberto Firmino.
The three players were instrumental to the Reds’ run to the Champions League final last season before they were beaten 3-1 by eventual winners Real Madrid.
They accounted for almost a century of goals in Liverpool colours in the last campaign.
Mane would almost definitely be an upgrade on the current forward options of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
The Manchester United forwards have struggled for goals this season and that’s one of the strong points of Sadio Mane.
He scored four goals in the first four league games of the season before suffering an injury in the last international break.
