The Champions League returns for Liverpool as they hope to bounce back after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Italian side Napoli in their last fixtures.

With a slim win against Huddersfield in the Premier League, all thanks to Mohamed Salah who scored the only goal of the game, the Reds will hope to return to winning ways against another Reds in the week.

There were concerns about the fitness of some of the Jurgen Klopp players who received knocks in the course of their international duties but there seem to be hope for their availability.

Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were all reported to have had one degree of injury or the other with their national side but emerging reports indicate they will all be available for the clash having all returned.

However, with an expected 4-3-3 formation by the German boss, there is no doubt about the selection of goalkeeper Alisson Becker who has undoubtedly come to stay in the Anfield pole.

Also, Trent Alexander-Arnold, though young, has won the heart of the manager and he could be joined by Dejan Loren, Van Dijk and Andrew Robertson in the defence.

Georginio, Wijnaldum, Fabinho and James Milner are likely to be seen at the middle while the big trio, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are expected to fly in the attack.
