Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has defended manager Jurgen Klopp’s negative feeling at the team after their 1-0 win against Huddersfield.
Liverpool have had a good start of the 2018/2019 season as they are yet to see any defeat in the Premier League this season, a feat that has placed them second in the Premier League table.
However, the game against Huddersfield saw the Reds struggle to deliver good performance but were saved at the end of the day with a goal by Mohamed Salah.
Klopp in his reactions after the game said he is unhappy with his side because they failed to put on good performances, adding that it was difficult for them to organize and put the game under control.
Reacting to the claim by the manager, Van Dijk says he understands with the German manager because he always seek for the best for his side, not just in goals but in their play.
Van Dijk said they were only lucky to have picked all three points in the game with a clean sheet by goalkeeper Allison Becker.
He added that their opponent made it difficult for them to organize but homes all would be settled before their game against Red Stars on Wednesday in the Champions League encounter.
