Emerging reports hint that Belgium star Eden Hazard will be handed a new deal at Chelsea that will make him the highest paid player in the English Premier League.

The Stamford Bridge side are making efforts to keep Hazard away from Spanish giants Real Madrid who have indicated interest and are also tempting him with more juicy offers.

The Belgium playmaker who had earlier walked out of contract talks agreed to commit his future to the club but noted that he has been a big fan of the Spanish side.

But with his decision to remain with the West London club, the Sunday Express report that Hazard had delayed a new deal to either have his way to his dream club or get a more interesting offer from the Blues.

However, a £300, 000 a-week-deal in place for Hazard for over a year now will be increased to £350, 000 for the player if reports from the Stamford Bridge is anything to go by.

Hazard has just 18 months to see off his £200, 00 a-week deal but he might be made the wage king to earn over Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil who earns about £300, 000 at the Emirates Stadium.

With the delay in negotiations, there are growing fears that the Belgium man might still leave at the end of the day.
