Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly set to hijack Tottenham’s move for highly rated Olympique Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele ahead of the transfer window in January.
According to a report from Paris United via football.london, the Arsenal legend will hijack the transfer for French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Tanguy Ndombele has been in impressive form for Lyon this season and he was rewarded for his sensational performances with an invitation to the French national team earlier this month.
The 21-year-old made his debut as a 67th-minute substitute for Paul Pogba in a 2 – 2 draw with European minnows Iceland in an international friendly on the 11th of October.
The report further claimed that the assurance of regular action would be enough to tempt him to move to French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Arsene Wenger has been linked with a director’s role at the French capital club and that he will be working with the PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel, on transfers.
The report from Paris United revealed that Wenger has already held talks with Tuchel.
Arsenal fans would definitely be delighted with Wenger over the move to hijack the transfer for Ndombele at the expense of North London rivals Spurs.
