New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has put a dampener on the club fans’ expectation for his team ahead of the upcoming Premier League clash with Leicester City on Monday night.

Arsenal host the Foxes at the Emirates Stadium in a Matchday 9 clash and Unai Emery was keen to play down fans’ expectation ahead of the game.

The former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Valencia boss spoke about the soaring expectations of the Arsenal fans during his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon ahead of the Leicester City game.

The Spanish tactician was reacting to fans’ chants that they have their Arsenal back during the last league match, a thumping 5 – 1 victory over newly promoted outfit Fulham in their London Derby clash at the Craven Cottage earlier this month.

Unai Emery was quick to point out that the first half of the game was very difficult and that the team is still a work in progress.

The convincing win over the Cottagers took the Gunners’ winning sequence to nine games in all competitions and Unai Emery would be hoping that his side can make it ten straight victories against the Foxes on Monday in the bid to stay in touch with the early pacesetters in the Premier League.

Agreement reached; Arsenal star has made up his mind to leave Emirates Stadium
