Manchester United have been boosted by the news that midfielder Ander Herrera is back in contention for the huge Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues host the three-time European champions in a Matchday 9 league clash on Saturday lunchtime and the Spanish international star is available for selection after recovering from injury.
His availability was confirmed by the Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho while he was giving an injury update on his team earlier on Friday ahead of the all-important league meeting with his former club.
According to him, the former Athletic Bilbao player has trained for the past two days and he’s available for selection ahead of the Chelsea game.
Mourinho didn’t give much away on the other injury doubts like England left-back Luke Shaw, Serbian international midfielder Nemanja Matic, Belgian midfield general Marouane Fellaini and young Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay.
Mourinho would be hoping that the aforementioned players are fit for the crucial game.
The duo of England international forward Jesse Lingard and Marcos Rojo are certain to miss out on the Chelsea game.
Lingard is still recovering from a groin injury, while Argentine defender Marcos Rojo is yet to feature for the team this season because of injury.
