Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has given his nod as a replacement for embattled Julen Lopetegui.
Lopetegui’s job is obviously on the line following the poor performance as Real Madrid manager.
The former Span national team coach signed for the Spanish giants at the summer, replacing Zinedine Zidane.
In what seems to be unacceptable, the Lopetegui men have failed to win any game since their 1-0 victory over Espanyol on September 22.
The management of the Bernabeu seem to be losing their patience on the manager with the former Chelsea boss on the radar.
Italian outfit, Corriere Dello Sport, says that Conte has been contacted by a senior official of the club with reports that the Italian boss has given his nod to take the job.
The media outfit added that a 3 games ultimatum has been given to the Madrid boss to turn things around or face the sack.
With his first El Classico against Barcelona already at the corner, Madrid will host Levante on Saturday before their Champions League clash against Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday.
Failure to win these games could mean the end of Lopetegui at Real Madrid and the beginning of a new era for Conte.
Conte has got a record of winning the Premier League in his first season as the Stamford Bridge manager and the FA Cup title in his second season but he could not keep his job for failing to qualify for the Champions League.
