Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri is reportedly in the wings to sign Brescia’s youthful star Sandro Tonali.
Sandor Tonali has been flourished for his brilliant style of play in Brescia and for the Italian youth team.
According to Sky Sports, Sarri has reportedly sent a small team of scouts to closely monitor the 18-year-old in Italy.
Chelsea have been outstanding this season and the Premier League has suddenly taken a swift twist.
The Blues are sandwiched in second place between Manchester City and Liverpool.
Tonali has been dubbed as the former Italian playmaker Andrea Pirlo, and it makes perfect sense why Sarri has suddenly piqued interest in the 18-year-old.
Born on May 8, 2000 in Lodi, Northern Italy, Tonali is a deep lying midfielder just like Italian legend Andrea Pirlo.
His movement with the ball on the field has been compared as very similar to Pirlo’s.
Apart from the long length of his flowing dark hair that reminds you of Pirlo, the youngster’s set-piece deliveries echo Pirlo.
Tonali has been earmarked for great success outside of Italy says Brescia head coach Robert Boscaglia. The Serie B outfit boss refused to make comparisons, but likened the youngster’s movement on the pitch to Pirlo’s.
We’ll just to have to watch and see if Chelsea will snatch up the rising star amid interests from Arsenal, Juventus and Roma when the window opens by January.
