Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear of his keen ambition to win the Premier League, Champions League or the FA Cup this season.
That ambition might be threatened with the reports of injuries coming from the international duties.
Salt seems to have been added to injury with the report that Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane suffered a hand injury while on international duty for Senegal
The Senegalese forward suffered the setback in training after Senegal defeated Sudan in Dakar on Saturday.
The player was immediately taken to the hospital as he was strapped heavily, a development that will have him miss the return leg of the game against Sudan.
It is not clear what the situation is at the moment especially as club football resumes at the weekend for Liverpool.
Mane is the third Reds player who has given manager Klopp reason to worry after Salah and Virgil van Dijk’s injury during international duties with their various countries.
While the situation with Salah is still unknown as he since returned to Liverpool for treatment by the team’s medical crew, Van Dijk is reported to be getting better and confirmed to be available for selection in Klopp’s team at the weekend.
