North London giants Arsenal have emerged as a possible destination for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey when the transfer window reopens.
According to a report from Daily Cannon, the Gunners are keeping tabs on the Ghanaian international.
The 25-year-old has previously been linked with a move to French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Thomas Partey was a regular under Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone in the last campaign and went on to make over 50 appearances for the Spanish capital club.
Since the start of this campaign, Thomas Partey has found first team opportunities hard to come by thereby leading to transfer rumours involving other European giants such as PSG and Arsenal.
Despite having a contract that runs until 2023 at Atletico Madrid, Thomas Partey could be a possible replacement for Arsenal contract rebel Aaron Ramsey who’s reportedly on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.
Welsh international star Ramsey has less than a year left on his Gunners contract and is on his way out of the club after Arsenal decided to withdraw their contract offer to him.
His representatives were in talks with the North Londoners before the contract withdrawal saga which took place in September.
Despite his contract woes at Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey has maintained his impressive form for the club, scoring once and providing three assists in the last three league games.
