Italian Serie A giants AS Roma have reportedly rejected a sizeable bid from Arsenal for their exciting winger Cengiz Under.
According to a report from Fotomac, Roma rejected a £30m bid from the Premier League giants for the Turkish international star.
The report further added that the Gunners are targeting another bid for the 21-year-old and are ready to increase their offer for him in a bid to secure his signature ahead of other interested parties.
Other European heavyweights like German champions Bayern Munich and English champions Manchester City have also been linked with a move for Under.
Roma have moved to ward off the advances of the aforementioned clubs by offering him a new contract that will more than double his current salary.
Cengiz Under earns around one million euros at the capital club.
He signed for AS Roma last summer in a €13.4m deal from Turkish Super League outfit Istanbul Basaksehir.
Since signing for Roma, Under has become an important member of the first team.
He has scored four goals and provided two assists in all competitions this term.
Cengiz Under made his Turkey debut against Kosovo in November 2016 and has scored four goals in 10 appearances for his country.
