Italian Serie A giants AS Roma have reportedly rejected a sizeable bid from Arsenal for their exciting winger Cengiz Under.
According to a report from Fotomac, Roma rejected a £30m bid from the Premier League giants for the Turkish international star.
The report further added that the Gunners are targeting another bid for the 21-year-old and are ready to increase their offer for him in a bid to secure his signature ahead of other interested parties.
Other European heavyweights like German champions Bayern Munich and English champions Manchester City have also been linked with a move for Under.
Roma have moved to ward off the advances of the aforementioned clubs by offering him a new contract that will more than double his current salary.
Cengiz Under earns around one million euros at the capital club.
He signed for AS Roma last summer in a €13.4m deal from Turkish Super League outfit Istanbul Basaksehir.
Since signing for Roma, Under has become an important member of the first team.
He has scored four goals and provided two assists in all competitions this term.
Cengiz Under made his Turkey debut against Kosovo in November 2016 and has scored four goals in 10 appearances for his country.
Arsenal Face £100m Threat For Benfica Starlet
Arsenal have been dealt a major transfer blow in the wake of the news that Premier League rivals Manchester United are plotting a £100m bid for highly rated Benfica attacker Joao Felix ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
This was revealed by popular English news outlet The Sun.
Arsenal are one of several clubs to have registered their interest in the impressive Joao Felix who has been in sensational form for Portuguese Super League outfit Benfica since the start of the season.
He has scored nine goals and also provided five assists in 23 appearances for Benfica this term.
Joao Felix has scored and also provided a goal in each of his last three games for Benfica to further underline his immense talent.
Arsenal are cash-strapped at the moment with recent reports claiming that the Gunners will be able to spend just £45m, excluding player sales, when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
The Gunners won’t be able to contest with Manchester United and other interested teams in the race to sign Joao Felix who says Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is his idol.
Arsenal were only restricted to loan signings during the last transfer window.
Other clubs like Juventus, Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers and many more are also keen on a move for Joao Felix who has a release clause of £105m (€120m) in his Benfica contract.
Arsenal Target 12-Goal African Star As Ozil Replacement
North London giants Arsenal have already started shopping for a replacement for German playmaker Mesut Ozil despite the fact that the 2014 FIFA World Cup winner is still on the payroll at the Emirates Stadium.
Sportskeeda claim that the Gunners are targeting Ajax Amsterdam star Hakim Ziyech as a direct replacement for Mesut Ozil who has endured a frustrating season for Arsenal since the start of this campaign.
Ozil has not been able to convince Arsenal manager Unai Emery that he can thrive under him at the club.
The former Werder Bremen and Schalke 04 player has provided just one assist in 14 league games this season.
Mesut Ozil has been dropped for many games this season despite the fact that he’s the highest paid player at Arsenal.
He earns £350,000 on a weekly basis after signing a three-year contract in February 2018.
Moroccan international player Hakim Ziyech could be the player to replace Ozil at Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has been in very good form for his Ajax Amsterdam side this term.
He has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 18 games in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Hakim Ziyech was also on target for Ajax in their 2-1 loss to holders Real Madrid in the first leg of their last 16 ties.
Arsenal Working On Summer Exit For Mesut Ozil
2006 Champions League finalists Arsenal are reportedly working on an exit for star player Mesut Ozil who has fallen from grace to grass at the club.
His current status at Arsenal is a far cry from the elevated heights he enjoyed when he became the Gunners’ record signing.
Arsenal splashed £42.5m on the 30-year-old to secure his transfer from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.
He was one of the first names on the Arsenal team while legendary manager Arsene Wenger was still in charge of the team but that has not been the case under new manager Unai Emery.
Ozil has been dropped for several Arsenal games this season with emphasis more on the team rather than individual players for Spanish tactician Unai Emery.
The Daily Telegraph claim that Arsenal and Unai Emery are keen to offload Mesut Ozil when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
Arsenal want to get his huge salary off the wage bill.
It was revealed that senior Arsenal officials are working with intermediaries to get his salary out of the Arsenal door.
Mesut Ozil earns £350,000 on a weekly basis at Arsenal after he signed a three-year contract at the club in February 2018.
How Ramsey Snubbed Five Clubs To Sign For Juventus
It’s no longer news that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract agreement with Italian Serie A champions Juventus ahead of a free transfer move in the summer but what’s surprising is that the Welsh international star snubbed five clubs to sign for the Old Lady.
The Daily Mirror has revealed that the former Cardiff City playmaker rejected offers from five major European clubs in favour of signing for the Italian champions.
French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona, Champions League holders Real Madrid, Italian Serie A club Inter Milan and German champions Bayern Munich were all snubbed by the 28-year-old.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has put pen to paper on a four-year contract at Juventus with a financial worth of £400,000 on a weekly basis.
Ramsey will end his 11-year association with the Gunners later this year when his contract at the Emirates Stadium expires.
Senior Arsenal officials decided against the idea of giving the Welsh international player a new contract mainly due to his high financial demands.
His newly signed contract at Juventus will make the Aaron Ramsey the highest paid British footballer in the history of world football.
Ramsey has scored two goals in addition to six assists in the Premier League this term.
Club Legend Lands £7m Summer Signing As Future Arsenal Leader
Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit is certain that summer signing Matteo Guendouzi has what it takes to be a future leader at the club.
Arsenal legend Petit praised the impact of the young French midfielder at the club in an exclusive interview with Football London.
He lauded the energy, anger and desire shown by Matteo Guendouzi in the colours of the Gunners before adding that the Frenchman reminds him of a young Emmanuel Petit.
Ex-French international star Petit played for Arsenal between 1997 and 2000 and was part of the Gunners squad that won the double during the 1997/98 season.
He went on to win the 1998 FIFA World Cup tournament on home soil.
Matteo Guendouzi has been earning rave reviews at Arsenal in what’s his debut campaign for the Gunners since his transfer last summer.
Arsenal paid £7m to secure his transfer from French second division club Lorient at the start of this season in a transfer that could best be described as a bargain deal.
He has played 32 games in all competitions for Arsenal this season playing a big part in the Gunners’ run to the top five on the Premier League table as well as the round of 32 in the Europa League.
How Arsenal Missed Out On £100m-rated Star
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has narrated how the Gunners missed out on one of the most exciting young players on the European scene.
England international Jadon Sancho has grown to become an important player for German Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund since he moved to the Signa Iduna Park from Premier League champions Manchester City at the start of last season.
His Borussia Dortmund form has attracted the interest of several European sides in the past few months.
Arsene Wenger spoke about him while he was on BeIN shortly before Jadon Sancho and his Borussia Dortmund side played Tottenham Hotspur in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Frenchman said that he tried to lure the 18-year-old to Arsenal while he was not getting much playing time at Manchester City but Wenger was not able to achieve his aim.
£100m-rated Sancho left Manchester City at the start of last season to join Dortmund on a free transfer and he has been a hit at the German Bundesliga club since then.
Jadon Sancho has churned out impressive performances to propel Borussia Dortmund to the top of the German Bundesliga table.
He was unable to inspire his team to a positive result against Spurs in the first leg of the Champions League as they lost 3-0 to the North London giants.
How Arsenal Target Could Join Juventus THIS Summer
Arsenal were strong contenders to sign Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez during the January transfer window but the Colombian international star opted to see out his loan contract at the Allianz Arena.
James Rodriguez is on a two-year loan deal at German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich from Champions League holders Real Madrid at the moment after the Bavarian giants paid £11m for his loan contract with the option to make his move a permanent one for just £36m.
Arsenal wanted a loan deal for James Rodriguez who has endured a frustrating last few months at Bayern Munich under manager Niko Kovac.
He had a very good campaign in his first season at Bayern Munich as he helped the Germans to the league title but he has not reached the same heights since Niko Kovac became manager last summer.

Latest reports claim that James Rodriguez will return to Real Madrid and that Italian Serie A champions Juventus are in the running to sign him in the summer.
According to Marca Colombia, James Rodriguez could link up with Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey at Juventus after the Welsh player’s free transfer move to the Old Lady was confirmed on Monday.
Tottenham To Make Summer Move For 30-Year-Old Arsenal Target
North London giants Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a summer move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
This is according to the publication from popular Italian media outlet Football Italia which claimed that Spurs will try to sign the Croatian World Cup star.
Ivan Perisic was part of the Croatia squad that impressed a great deal at last summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
The 30-year-old was on target in the final of the aforementioned tournament but he was unable to prevent Croatia from a 4-2 defeat at the hands of eventual champions France.
Ivan Perisic was linked with a loan move to Spurs’ arch rivals Arsenal throughout the just concluded January transfer window but the move didn’t happen after Inter Milan rejected the loan bid from the Gunners in favour of a permanent transfer.
Arsenal were unable to match the Italians’ request for a permanent transfer.
Tottenham Hotspur were also keen on the player in January but their interest didn’t graduate into a bid.
They are eyeing a summer bid for him after club manager Mauricio Pochettino was impressed with the player during their group stage campaign in the Champions League.
Spurs finished ahead of Inter Milan in second place to book a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League against German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
Wojciech Szczesny Delighted With Aaron Ramsey Signing
Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has expressed his delight at the prospect of linking up with former Arsenal teammate Aaron Ramsey at the Juventus Stadium in the summer.
This is coming on the back of the official announcement that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will join Italian Serie A champions Juventus on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract with the Gunners this summer.
Juve goalie Szczesny took to his official Instagram page to celebrate his friend Ramsey before jokingly demanding for a commission after playing a role in his transfer to the Old Lady.
Szczesny and Ramsey were teammates at Arsenal between 2009 to 2015 before the former was farmed out on loan to Italian Serie A club AS Roma.
He spent two successful years on loan at the Italian capital club before securing a permanent move to Italian champions Juventus at the start of last season.
Aaron Ramsey will join him at Juventus after the Welsh international player signed a four-year contract worth £400,000 on a weekly basis.
The Welsh international star will end his 11-year stay with the Gunners in the summer having joined Arsenal from fellow Premier League club Cardiff City in the summer of 2008 in a deal worth £5m.
Why Barcelona Didn’t Sign Aaron Ramsey Revealed
Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona were one of the clubs interested in a move for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey but the five-time European champions decided against stepping up their interest in the player with a firm bid.
Aaron Ramsey went on to sign for Juventus who announced his transfer on Monday.
The 28-year-old has signed a free transfer contract worth £400,000 per week over the next four years.
Aaron Ramsey will join Juventus in the summer upon the expiration of his contract with the Gunners.
He has just six months left on his Arsenal contract with senior club officials reluctant to offer him a new deal and that played a big part in his move to Italian champions Juventus.
Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo talked about how Barcelona decided against a move for the Welsh international star.
It was revealed that Barcelona were convinced about not making a bid to sign Aaron Ramsey due to the midfield options at their disposal.
Barcelona recently bolstered their midfield options with the transfer of Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Frenkie De Jong who will join the Spaniards in the summer.
The Catalan giants are also in the running to sign Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer.
