Man United Star Declared Fit For Chelsea
Manchester United have received a big boost following the news that defender Luke Shaw has been declared fit for the crucial Premier League clash with Chelsea next week Saturday.
The 23-year-old sustained an ankle injury in the Red Devils’ last league game against Newcastle United which ended in a 4-3 victory for Manchester United at Old Trafford.
According to The Sun, the ankle injury is a minor one and he’s expected to face Chelsea on Saturday, October 19.
The injury forced him to pull out of the England squad ahead of the upcoming games against Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finalists Croatia and Spain in the Uefa Nations League (UNL).
His place has already been taken by Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell, who also replaced Luke Shaw in the team for the Three Lions’ last game against Switzerland.
The Manchester United star had earlier suffered a concussion in the 2-1 home loss to Spain in the Three Lions’ Uefa Nations League (UNL) opener before being replaced by the Leicester City left-back.
Chilwell made his debut as England defeated Switzerland 1-0 at the Wembley Stadium courtesy a 54th minute strike from Marcus Rashford.
Luke Shaw has been one of the standout performers for Manchester United in the new campaign which has started on a disappointing note for the Old Trafford side.
He has started seven of his team’s Premier League games this season.
Sarri should sign this ‘attacking minded defender’ to replace Azpilicueta
