Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly made an offer for highly-rated defender Lucas Hernandez ahead of the transfer window in January.
According to the report from popular Spanish news outlet Marca, the Red Devils have made an offer for the 22-year-old and are ready to double his weekly wages at current club, Atletico Madrid.
Other European giants like Real Madrid and Manchester City are also interested in the France World Cup winner.
Lucas Hernandez was an integral part of the French team that won a second FIFA World Cup title at the 2018 edition in Russia during the summer.
He featured for the entire duration of the game as France defeated surprise finalists Croatia 4-2 in their final clash on July 15.
The Atletico Madrid star will be a valuable addition to the Manchester United squad and will also bring versatility due to the fact that he can play at left-back or as a centre back.
He played at left-back for the French national team throughout the World Cup tournament in Russia.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is in search of a solution to his side’s defensive problems and Lucas Hernandez could be the answer he’s looking for but the Red Devils might need to pay the £70m buyout clause in his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano.
