Atlanta United president Darren Eales has dismissed rumours linked one of his club players to Premier League giants Arsenal.
Paraguayan international midfielder Miguel Almiron plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) club Atlanta United and he has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Widespread reports claim that £11m transfer is in the works ahead of the next transfer window in January but Eales says those reports are not accurate.
He made this known in a chat with 92.9 The Game adding that it would take thrice the amount quoted above for the club to even consider a transfer to the Gunners.
Since joining Atlanta United from Argentinian club Lanus in 2016, the 24-year-old has been in sensational form for his MLS side thereby attracting interests from major European sides like Arsenal.
He has scored 21 goals in 62 league games for Atlanta United.
Miguel Almiron has been touted as a replacement for Welsh international star Aaron Ramsey who’s in a contract dispute with the Gunners.
The 27-year-old has some months to go on his present deal at Arsenal and is on his way out of the club after the North London giants withdrew their contract offer to him because of his huge financial demands.
