Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has backed Jose Mourinho to turn things around at his former club.
The Portuguese tactician has come under severe criticisms lately following his side’s underwhelming start to the new season.
Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2016 and spent 18 months at the club until January 2018 when he left for Major League Soccer (MLS) side LA Galaxy.
He spoke about Mourinho and Manchester United in a chat with BetHard.
Jose Mourinho was appointed as Manchester United manager in 2016 and thereafter won the Community Shield, Europa League and the League Cup in his first season.
He endured a barren second season in the last campaign and has started the current season in similar fashion.
His Manchester United side are in a disappointing eighth position after the first eight league games of this season.
The Red Devils have already lost three games in eight games only.
Manchester United were beaten by Brighton and Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Mourinho and his Manchester United players were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Championship side Derby County at the third round stage via penalties in front of their own fans at Old Trafford.
