Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly banned the reporter who reported that manager Jose Mourinho would be sacked from his post irrespective of the league result against Newcastle United.

According to BeIn Sports, the reporter has been told to stay away from matters concerning the club.

The Daily Mirror reporter, David McDonnell, released his report about the imminent dismissal of Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho on Friday citing senior sources at the club.

Manchester United thereafter backed their manager and the Red Devils went on to overturn a 2-0 halftime deficit to secure a 3-2 victory over Newcastle United at Old Trafford in a Premier League Matchday 8 clash.

Rafael Benitez’s team took a shock lead in the 7th-minute courtesy of Brazilian winger and Chelsea loanee Kenedy, who’s on a season-long loan deal from the Blues.

Summer signing Yoshinori Muto added a second goal three minutes later and the Magpies could have increased their lead before halftime if not for poor finishing.

Manchester United came back from the halftime interval to score three goals through a 70th minute Juan Manuel Mata freekick, a 76th minute strike from French international striker Anthony Martial and an 89th minute header from substitute and January signing Alexis Sanchez.
