Lots of reactions have been trailing the Premier League game between Liverpool and Manchester City and BBC pundit Garth Crooks was not left out of those who had a say.
Crooks was more particular about Liverpool defender Joe Gomez and has showered praise on the defensive player.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had to move Gomez from the centre back to right back and deployed Dejan Lovren to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold so as to contain the deadly Pep Guardiola side.
Not minding playing a new role and against a big team, Crooks says the 21-year-old player was dependable and did not fail his manager.
According to him, Gomez is as safe as houses and has the ability to play in different roles because of his brilliance and ability.
There are suggestions that the player will be deployed back to centre-half after the international break after a successful job against City
The player was able to keep Raheem Sterling under control as the Liverpool man was unable to operate as usual.
Although, Sterling has never had it good at the Anfield after leaving the Merseyside outfit to the Manchester team and hopes on him to break the curse was dashed.
