The Sunday’s clash between Manchester City and Liverpool has forced a comparison between their managers, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp respectively.
Both teams were goal shy and little cautious and the game ended without a winner.
The Spanish manager has had a five years record meeting with the German manager and the latter has had a better standing in terms of the records between them.
This gave the Anfield boss the edge over the City manager and was tipped to have a sounding victory in what is expected to be the toughest game so far in the season.
Unfortunately, the game ended in a 0-0 draw without a winner.
The former Barcelona manager played down the records with the former Dortmund boss, stating that the game played on Sunday was between Manchester City and Liverpool, not between Guardiola and Klopp.
However, in a surprise twist, Klopp against the records in his favour named Guardiola as the better coach.
He went ahead to claim that Guardiola is the greatest manager in the game today.
According to him, what has been achieved by the Spanish manager has not been heard of anyone in the football business today.
Klopp is surprised of the consistency of the former Barcelona manager who is still in the business and having same records of wins which is peculiar to him alone.
Guardiola is the only manager who has won domestic topflight leagues in Germany, Spain and England in his spells.
