North London giants Arsenal are up to fourth on the Premier League table after the Gunners produced their best performance of the season against Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal thrashed their hosts 5-1 at Craven Cottage with four of the goals coming in the second half.
They took the lead through in-form Alexandre Lacazette on 29 minutes off an assist from Nacho Monreal to celebrate his nomination for the Player of the Year Award for September.
The lead lasted for just 15 minutes after Monreal gave away possession in the Arsenal half before Luciano Vietto played in Andre Schurrle to score the equaliser for the hosts just before the halftime interval.
The Gunners’ superiority was evident on the resumption of the second half as they scored four goals to blow away the Cottagers.
It took Lacazette just four minutes to give his side a second lead before substitute Aaron Ramsey scored a third moments after coming on midway into the second half.
Another substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang added a fourth goal before the Gabonese international completed his brace in added time to give the Gunners a comprehensive win.
The result takes Arsenal above North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and into the top three as the race for the league title hots up.
