Manchester United will be without three players for the visit of Newcastle United to Old Trafford in a Premier League meeting on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils face a crucial game against the Magpies in what’s a Matchday 8 clash but would be without the trio of Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Jesse Lingard.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho confirmed the absence of the three players for the Newcastle United game during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

The Portuguese tactician also revealed that England international fullback Ashley Young will return to the squad for the aforementioned game.

Young missed Tuesday night’s Champions League home game against Valencia which ended in a goalless draw.

The Valencia result took the Red Devils’ winless run to four games in all competitions dating back to the 3-0 win at Young Boys FC of Switzerland in their Champions League opener.

In addition, Manchester United are also without a win in their last four games at home

The last home win came on the opening day of the new Premier League season, a 2-1 win over Leicester City.

France World Cup winner Paul Pogba and former Southampton left-back Luke Shaw were on target for the former Premier League winners.

Happy James Milner says the situation would have been different at Liverpool
