Liverpool! Pep Guardiola knows he only has this obstacle in title pursuit

The season so far looks like a two team race with Liverpool and Manchester City proving as the titans of the English Premier League.

Sunday will then have the clash of the titans as both will meet at Anfield to settle the scores of who seats on the top of the league table.

Both teams have the same points as it stands but the Manchester club has the advantage of sitting on top because of the many goals they have scored, more than the Merseyside team.

The game is more of the rivalry between manager Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp than the teams owing to the history they have had before coming to England.

Guardiola won last season’s league convincingly and looks like he is up for it again but his old time rival stands as an obstacle to the back-to-back record he would have set.

In five years of playing against each other, they have met 14 times and the Liverpool boss has won on 7 occasions while 5 was won by the City manager and they both drew two times.

Klopp has the advantage this time, knowing he has the crowd an as advantage to add to being at home.

Although, it might be too early to call, this game might just be the determinant and could stop Guardiola who looks determine to win again.
