Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger is on the four-man shortlist of managers to potentially replace Dutch tactician Phillip Cocu at Fenerbahce according to the Turkish media.

According to a report from Turkish news portal Milliyet, Turkish Super League giants, Fenerbahce have drawn up a list of managers in their bid to replace Cocu.

The former Dutch international is under a lot of pressure with his team currently languishing in 14th spot on the Turkish Super League table.

Arsene Wenger had earlier been approached about becoming the Fenerbahce manager in the summer but the former AS Monaco boss turned down the offer.

The 68-year-old rejected the offer as he wanted to rest after leaving the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

Wenger ended his 22-year association with the club after winning three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup titles in North London.

He faces the prospects of leading Fenerbahce against the Gunners if he takes the job.

Both Arsenal and Fenerbahce feature in this season’s Europa League.

Without Arsene Wenger, Arsenal have started the season in impressive fashion under new manager Unai Emery.

The Spanish tactician has led the North Londoners to eight straight victories in all competitions, including five Premier League wins.
