There is a probable tension ahead of Liverpool’s clash Premier League with Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

Visiting Manchester City are therefore making frantic efforts to ensure that their team bus is not attacked by Liverpool fans as it was done last season.

It would be recalled that in April, there was a planned assault on the social media against the Pep Guardiola team by the Red fans ahead of their quarter-final encounter in the Champions League.

The plan was taken likely by the visitors and their team bus was attacked with bottles, cans and stones but no player was attacked.

However, with the nature of the Sunday game which would determine who tops the log, the game could be taken personally by the Red fans and City are not ready to take such a chance anymore.

It has been reported that they have decided to keep their route to the Anfield secrete in order to avoid being attacked again.

Also, series of meetings have been held with Merseyside Police to ensure they have escorts before and after the game.

Both teams have been in great form and their fans are looking forward to becoming the leader knowing that they have lost any game this season.

The Sunday encounter may see one of the sides record their first defeat of the season in the Premier League.
