A record has been created by all clubs from the Italian league and it would have been impossible if Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli had not delivered a win for against Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Italian side had to wait until 90 minutes of the game before claiming the day with a goal by Lorenzo Insigne.

However, the victory on Wednesday was the first time since 2005 that all four Italian clubs won their games on a single match day in the Champions League and Napoli was the last to make that happen.

Ancelotti who has also coached Milan and Juventus seem to be having a return to Italy for good and has been praised by the goal scorer who gave the victory to him.

There was no much confidence for the Italian side ahead of the game, knowing the reputation and the current form of the Liverpool team under manager Jurgen Klopp but it was a different reality at the end of the day.

Napoli held Liverpool and the English side could not make a single shot on target. All of the praise has been given to Ancelotti.

Klopp had lamented the fact that his side failed to neither create any chance nor shot on goal, noting that it was the first time in a long while it happened last.
