It has been revealed that Chelsea star Eden Hazard jokingly challenged Daniel Sturridge for cancelling his goal when Liverpool played a 1-1 draw at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Belgium international hoped he had won all three points for his side in the Premier League encounter but the Liverpool gaffer who started from the bench was unwilling to let that happen with his die minute goal.
Both players are known to each other knowing that the Liverpool goal scorer was once a player for the Stamford Bridge side.
However, the Belgium international said he had jokingly challenged his former teammate for proving his quality on that day.
Hazard said he knew Sturridge has good quality has a player but wished he didn’t exhibit that in that game and would have waited until another game next week
Sturridge now has four goals despite not being a starter this season and it has been argued that the England international has done enough to earn himself a first-team place in the Jorgen Klopp side.
The player has admitted he has had little playing time but stressed that he is happy at the club.
Hazard is also Chelsea’s most informed player, leading his side to victory in most games this season with his goals.
